Snowflake CB Folder Christmas Card

It's Monday already! I haven't done much in the studio this weekend, I had a class at Hobby Lobby Eastgate and it was quite a success! I wanted to share another Christmas Card with you today, I promise I won't do one everyday, but since we're closer than we think to the big holiday I wanted to share ideas that might help you. This one is made with all scraps, well except the base card. I used the cuttlebug and highlighted the red background with silver ink, used the CB snowflake die and embossing folder from last year. Just a FYI, if you think you might like the holiday series of the Cuttlebug folders get them while you can, Provo Craft retires them at the end of the season! I missed out on the dove last year. I know I could probably get it on Craig's list or Ebay but it is always better to have it in your hot little hands and pay no shipping charges. I'm not sure about the stamp for Merry Christmas, who makes that one but of course we probably all have many different ones to use there. The brad is a Making Memories I got a year or two ago, they may still make them.

Well, I hope you have a great week! Off to the studio, my day off from the real job. I already did windows and mini blinds and a load of laundry, so I think that is enough for one day now to play!! Don't forget I am doing a Scrapbooking Cricut Style at the Hobby Lobby Eastgate!

Dutchdare-card challenge/ Sketch Challenge

Well, last one for tonight! I found this new challenge spot and just had to give it a try. They gave us a sketch to go by and since I am on a mission to get 200 Christmas cards this gave me a good opportunity to use another group of stamps and my new chalks'

I used Pebbles Inc. chalks, Quickutz embossing folder, nestabilities die cut, CB embossing folder, the snowman is Rubber Soul, trees are Impression Obsession, snowflake is Making Memories and the paper was from my scrap-stash and I can't remember who makes it.

Getting Ready for Christmas

Hello, everyone! I have now started the big push for the 200 Christmas cards I need to have ready by Oct 3, for a craft show. I have never done one of these before and my friend Ginny Lee invited me to be a part, so I figured why not? I have been blessed to have people where I work buy a card from time to time, but I've never done this many before. I have asked a few folks how I go about the Angel Policies out there and they have filled me in. That's my next step. I have my son working on a stamp to put on each card giving every company their credit. I sure hope I do this right. 

Now, here is one of the cards I came up with last night. I used Distress Inks on glossy paper and stamped the image with stazon. I decided to step outside the box and do a card in a non-traditional group of colors. I think I like this. The stamp is a Tim Holtz, Stampers Anonymous, I picked up after Christmas last year( half off!). Of course, I used the Cuttlebug embossing folders, I just thought of this... next time I am going to use the music folder it would go better with the theme. The swirls work too.
