Exciting News!

I've been given a date, May 18-10-noon, at the East Gate Hobby Lobby, to teach a Mixed Media techniques class. This will be the first one offered on a Friday morning, but hopefully not the last.

I will show the basics of starting either a canvas or journal page and the mediums to use along with how to use everyday items to create your backgrounds. The students will try several of the techniques on shipping tags, which they will have as references when they start their own. I'll have LOTS of examples to share. The important thing I want to get across to everyone these techniques are NOT just for canvas or visual journal works! All of them can be used to take your card making and scrap booking to a new level using things you probably already have, at least some of them.

This is a page I did a few weeks ago using stamps, pages out of an old book, paints, Distress stains, stencils, pens, and bubble wrap. There might even be other stuff there I can't think of right now. Do you have to do all that? NO! You can do as little or as much as you like YOU'RE the ARTIST".
