WOYWW #147

Well, another Wednesday already! This is what's on my desk this week, a 3x12 canvas. I'm trying some new things I've learned from C.T. at
http://www.christytomlinson.typepad.com/the_scarlet_lime/ She uses a plastic paper plate holder as a stencil along with light molding paste and paint to make her flowers and sun. I found my plate holder at Hobby Lobby and added red paint to the molding paste to get my big flower. I colored the canvas background with Distress Stains. I'm planning to use Claudine Helmuth's stamps and paints for the grass and leaves along with Faber Castel markers. Of course, I'll use stamps and the sorts for the texture. I might even add a bit of book page text. I'll post the finished project later this week. Make sure to jump over to www.stamping-ground.blogspot.com to see what everyone else is up to. Have a great day!

  9. I like it - but I don't understand how you did it. I did a blow up of the photo but can't spot anything that I would call a plastic paper plate holder!

  10. Hi Peggy,

I do love your canvas! I've added modeling paste to acrylics and used it for a doily stencil. It came out looking so sweet! It just gives it a bit of definition. Can't wait to see what your flower looks like when it's done.

    Happy WOYWW
