Tapestry Cuttlebug

Good Morning! Can't believe it's Wednesday already. Here's a technique I got from Allie at scrapncook.blogspot.com, called Cuttlebug Tapestry. Thanks Allie!
I altered it a bit, I tried her way and wasn't totally happy, only because I like deeper colors, so here is what I did:
supplies: matt cardstock, Brillance Ink pad, cuttlebug folder and machine, screen from hardware ($5 for a roll that will last a life time)
steps: ink up the indented side of the embossing folder, lay cardstock on un-inked side then the screen on top. Run through the cuttlebug, open and remove the screen, making sure the cardstock stays lined up with your folder and run it through the machine again. This just gave it a deeper color. I also tried putting the screen under the cardstock and running it through. You will get a slight impression of the screen, which gives it that tapestry look. But I really like the look of running it through twice. Give it a try it really is a cool texture look. The stamp I used is from Verve and I used Nesties for the scalloped circles, bling from Hero Arts.

  1. Peggy, what a cool technique! Thanks for the inspiration... I will have to try this at Toyrifix! LOVE that stamp, too! I just ordered from Verses last week, but must have missed that one in the catalog. Looks like I'll have to order again!
